Substance Abuse Counseling
Choices Group specializes in working with people who are experiencing trouble and seeking support with their substance use. We are Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADC) and CADC interns, and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC).
We start by completing a specialized substance abuse assessment to learn more about you, your substance use history, your current challenges and where you are at in your efforts to overcome addiction. As part of the assessment, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan, using the information obtained during the assessment, to identify specific steps to help you. These steps may include developing insight, providing education, developing skills and tools, improving motivation and ability, preventing relapse and identifying how to prevent future substance use.
For those who need more structure and support, Choices Group has a substance abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This program may be attended up to 3 days a week, lasts 3 hours, and includes group and individual therapy. IOP services are also used when leaving a residential treatment program, as a step down from residential level treatment.
